From: Linda Sellers Chrisman

Jennifer,

The only people we're absolutely sure of as belonging to our Sellers clan is:

1) John Sellers buried 5 Feb. 1800 aged 82 years
2) Andrew Sellers and his various wives and children
3) our John Sellers christened 17 Aug 1800.

The other Sellers people are unaccounted for as to how they are actually kin.
There can be no denying they are kin, just do not know how as of yet.

St. Matthew's Lutheran Church Records

From the book by Anne Martin Haigler:

The Church Records of St. Matthew's Lutheran Church Orangeburg County,
South Carolina and "The Red Church"

(I have seen at least 3 different versions of this book.)
The original volume of the church records is held in the
Carolinian Library at the University of South Carolina.
There are some WPA copies of the original that, unfortunately,
contain mistakes on the part of the copier.

I typed this the way it appears in the edition of the book
from which I made copies. Many of the Sellers named people
are listed with very little additional family info.

{The first time I saw a copy of this book, the above is the way I saw it.
I couldn't understand why in The Sellers Family Tree booklet composed by
Mrs. Amy Wickham and Mrs. Helen Sellers Johnson Hartman had listed Andrew
Sellers as having died in 1813. The second time I saw a copy of this book,
someone had typed in beside Andrew's name, died. I do not know which of
these versions is correct.}
